That's just her nature, I guess. She's based on the real Desiree,
who can be rather hot-tempered and over-emotional at times (not to
mention her sarcastic sense of humor and occasional mean comments).
Desiree (the chameleon) may also have become aggressive due to her
family relocating to the States, or perhaps it may be due to the
interaction with her siblings.

Desiree _does_ wear shoes. In fact, most, if not all, of the
staff members wear some sort of shoe (the trio prefers to wear
sandals). Celeste wears tennis shoes or hiking boots, and most of
the others wear tennis shoes or boots of some sort. When they are
posing for a photo-shoot, they may choose to discard their footwear.
