Perhaps it could be accounted for by anthropomorphic biology. Since
anthromorphs are human/animals they might share certain traits with
both halfs, including what to humans is a very speedy rate of
maturity. Therefor, Zig might have been chronologically five years
old, but was the human equivelant of eighteen(plus).
A thought.
