Check the 'notify group' box when uploading would be good.
Gives us a link to click on as opposed to cruising around
to find it.

Came out well, for a first pic. Consider taking the next
step and adding colour as well. Do it lightly and build
up; it gives a smoother result than trying to 'lay it on
thick'. Much easier to darken colours than lighten! To be
truly on-topic for this pic in this group, why not draw
have your character meeting Monique? Give you some more
bat practice while you're going.
Your geometrics and proportions seem correct - a big step
in the right direction. Face and hands are based on JMH
references and makes things much easier. I still do this
for many of my pics - use the basic geometric form of a
character that works, then move around or modify to give
the result you're looking for. Not true drawing, IMHO, but
a good way to start getting a feel and learning.

Your fursona doesn't have to reflect your human self. I
share no commonalities with the dragon save the usual two
arms, two legs, etc. Along with the same thought space;
(AAArgh! Can't get the dragon out of my head!!!! Oh hang
on, he's me...) If that helps you create a character, that
is a good application. I must admit I look at people and
think "They'd be a <whatever animal> if they were a furry".
Have a go at adding Monique, then some colour and upload
again; interesting to see how you go.
Scrapper, Black Dragon, understanding starting at the
beginning as it wasn't so long ago!
