My condolences to her family, though I wasn't impressed with her as a
writer. I saw the original Omaha the Cat Dancer story, and loved the
excitement, tension, fast pace, irony, and fun. Unfortunately, when
she started writing the series, all that disappeared, and Omaha
became slow, dreary, and preachy, and the characters degenerated into
feiminst stereotypes and the story became a morality play. I like at
least a bit of fun in my furry entertainment, and the worst thing
that can happen to a furry comic, especially one with inherently
silly elements such as bare feet and tails sticking out of trousers,
is for it to start taking itself too seriously. Kate may have been
liked by many, but I didn't care to what she did with the Omaha
comic. Sorry, that's just my opinion.
Long Tom.
