Maybe I'm missing something; as I said I haven't read any of the
Caterwaul/Lot 6 comics. I had the impression their powers had been
artificially enhanced, so whoever did it has to know how they *should*
work, even if the kids themselves don't.
There was a car crash in my head between this idea and the (possibly
apocryphal) story of how some Far-East-built gadgets have such badly
written English manuals. The original manual is in Japanese or Korean,
the translator in India or the Phillipines doesn't know either
language (or English, for that matter). What he does have, though, is
a stack of e.g. Japanese-Hindi and English-Hindi dictionaries. The
results are best described as... variable. =)
