Hey, Tethas, Tashta, here. I had cataract surgery last week. I can now see out of my left eye. The surgery was *very* quick and simple and it's more than 80% recovery of my own vison. I'm sorry you have to wait so long to have it but rest assured, it works and is simple. There is practically no recovery time except for not lifiting heavy objects, not bending over, etc, for at least two weeks to prevent unneccesary pressure in the eye, to make sure the replaced lens is not affected.
Good luck!
Tashta

Well, you will still need to talk to Jim yourself, but I can answer a couple of questions for you at least. Right now Jim has been pretty busy with work, and doesn't have _much_ spare time. He does seem to have enough to get a pic or two off every now and then, I would say one or two a month depending on his insperation and time, but thats a pretty rough guestimate...more guess then estimate. This is of course not to say he won't take the project, but he might need a fair bit of time I will 'warn' you ahead of time...and also he doesn't always get to check the list too quickly. Give him a week there, before you consider reposting. Also the hurricane isn't helping...I don't think it's a major problem with him YET, but I do not know his exact sitation in that thing called real life...he may be in alot worse or alot less of a problem then I know about.
As for his eyesight...well...he can still see...beyond that it's not doing too great but could be far worse, unforently I do not know more there. I feel sorry for him and wish I could help, as I know what it's like...I have black cataracts, no job, and am slowly going blind (likely another 10-15 years before glasses may no longer help at all). I'm luckier however as there is a 'cure' with more then 80% chance of recovery I believe...unforently social services up in BC, Canada, won't pay for the operation until you are legaly blind. They would rather pay for glasses avery few years. Anyways...hope this helps SOME.

Hello.
I need to contact Jim Hardiman directly on a book project I am
working on.
(Its on how to draw furry art for beginners.)
The book is already approved by SFA for printing, and I would like
to include examples of hands the way Jim draws them as an
interesting alternative method in the hands and arms section.
I do not have an up to date email address for Jim, do not know the
current state of his medical condition, so do not know if he is able
and willing to draw at this time.
I have a 4 or more year old phone number somewhere, from when I ran
the confurence 10 dealer's room, but I am reluctant to use it-
provided I could locate it in my records.
Either someone passing the request along, or providing me with an
email address would be appreciated.
The book will not be headed for the printers until around january or
march of next year, so time is plentiful at the moment.
Thanks.
Steve Corbett.
