Hmm, nice to know that when I go legal blind and social services will pay for it...or I manage to get a job that pays enough to leave me something to save up for such (not likely where I live at the moment without years of experince I'm not old enough to have yet)...at least the operation will be quick and effective. As it stands right now I have about 75%-80% of my natural vision remaining...which is alot, but at only 25, it's alot less then it should be. There is of course a small chance something will go wrong, but then again, theres a small chance something could go wrong every time you go for a walk...ya never know. Thanks for the note tho...does help a little bit emotionaly. Now if we can just get a single mother of three kids (all moved out now of course) as someone in charge of the goverment spending...someone who KNOWS how to budget instead of just reduce services, then things will be set ^_^

Hey, Tethas, Tashta, here. I had cataract surgery last week. I can now see out of my left eye. The surgery was *very* quick and simple and it's more than 80% recovery of my own vison. I'm sorry you have to wait so long to have it but rest assured, it works and is simple. There is practically no recovery time except for not lifiting heavy objects, not bending over, etc, for at least two weeks to prevent unneccesary pressure in the eye, to make sure the replaced lens is not affected.
Good luck!
Tashta
