Oh, they're naughty, alright. And yes, they do often engage with
one another.
Admittedly, she was rather surprised when she found out the girls
were doing each other (whereas Val had been doing mostly guys at
that age. She did try it with one female, thought it pleasant
enough, but not really her thing, and then went back to the guys).
One important thing to remember is, these individuals are not
humans covered in fur or scales. They are vastly different from us,
and while many of their habits and surroundings may closely echo
with ours, they do not necessarily abide by the same societal
protocols.
For example, think of this: in their world, everyone is
essentially armed, either with sharp teeth, claws, or any special
inborn ability their specific species may possess. As such, they do
not have as much violence as we have here. But, at the same time,
if there is a confrontation between two individuals over something
serious (rape, strong-arm burglary, murder, etcetera), and one
individual kills another (ie., an enraged father kills someone for
kidnapping and molesting his kid, or something REALLY bad like
that), the cops do not throw the father in prison. Killing in self-
defense or protecting loved ones is entirely permissible by law,
although investigations must be done to ensure the truth.
It isn't all that common for siblings to have sex with one
another, but it does occur (M/F consensual is extremely rare,
because 1) it isn't necessary, given the high ratio of females to
males in that world, and 2) society generally frowns on that
particular activity, because it can lead to early breeding, which
isn't neccesarily a good thing). Many females will experiment with
themselves or their closest siblings, because the females become
sexually active earlier than the males.
Just the same, the girls do not engage with each other quite as
often as depicted in the comics, especially since they can have
pretty much whatever guy they want. But they are known to team up
with one another when one of them is having sex with another male,
or perhaps even a small group of males. After all, they're not
about to let one person hog all the fun, now are they? ;)
