how did you get into the furry fandom?

There's probably a longer, more thorough answer on the FAQs page
(link available in the group's link section), but here's the short
and sweet of it:
I bought a few copies of Albedo at a comic shop, liked what I saw
(and was surprised to see artwork similar to what I was drawing),
sent a check in for a few issues of Genus and Furrlough, got the
comics, liked what I saw, read a letter in one of the books in which
someone asked AP (the publisher) why they didn't have much skunk
porn (to which AP replied they didn't have much on hand to print),
decided to draw up some skunk pictures (actually, the first three
pages of the first Skunkworks folio), sent them in, waited for a
long time, and then finally saw one of the pictures printed as a
frontispiece on the table of contents of the November 1996 (I think)
issue of Genus. Or maybe it was 1995. I honestly can't remember.
Anyway, I went to a convention (CFEast 1995), quietly sold some of
my artwork in the dealer's den, then approached Ed Zolna at the
original Mailbox Books and provided him with samples of the art, as
well as a brief rundown of the sales history on the items. He
offered to buy the folios, and from then on, it just got bigger and
bigger.
Luckily, good ol' Ed is back in business again, and he's the only
person I sell my material to nowadays (I no longer handle direct
sales since I lack the time, resources and organization for such an
undertaking). That about sums everything up, I reckon. Of course,
for more details, check out the FAQs page. But this answer should
suffice, I think.
