I'm from germany and just wanted to confirm what you posted. On
december the 6th it's "St. Nikolaus" who puts presents in our shoes,
on 24th it's the typical Santa Claus (who is called Weihnachtsmann; or
Christkindl in southern germany). "St. Nikolaus" however is by far not
as generous as the Christkindl, his presents are usually more of a
disappointment -_-
