another thing to try is between 1-3 commas after the number you
dial for your ISP. It pauses the modem connection for just a second
allowing your modem and the ISPs modem to synch better.. It doesn't
always work but it does help with a lot of the time with a connection
that either is running very slow or keeps disconnecting
