I don't involve myself with the group beyond reading
the posts with some regularity but I thought that
after several years, it was far past time to compose a
letter of appreciation. (Is this account designated
for Jim or Des? And are comments/questions at all
appropriate here? Apologies in advance if not.) (I
freely admit to not reading as well as I should, but
I'm a bit... celebraory this evening.)
I'm a fan and I've been supporting the cause (Any news
about Jim's vision would be greatly appreciated; I'll
be sure to see it if posted to the Yahoo! group.) by
purchasing every release I can get my hands on, and am
otherwise genuinely concerned about Jim's situation,
though the donations I've managed so far were meager
at best, and were done through Rabbit Valley, with
attendant problems unless you've settled that by now.)
It's an odd thing following an artist(s) over a period
of years - it gives the false impression that you know
them; however it is perfectly reasonable to believe
you may've gleaned certain bits of an artist's
personality - however contrived those bits may be -
from their work. And sometimes you get to like these
cats based on the face they've presented. So, in
short, if it isn't too much of an imposition: How you
doing, Jim, Des? Any new stuff in the works
(Particularly through Radio Comix, whom I'm fond off
and bought your last stuff from.)...
...Christ.
It's getting late, and the Stoli, Guinness and
Moerlein's Oktoberfest is getting to me (You couldn't
at all tell, I'm sure. 8^}), so g'night and all, and
thanks in advance for the info. Whenever you get the
time. No hurry.
And thanks foe the years of work - I've gotten a real
kick out of your [both of your] stuff.
