The site owner will be contacting artists to ask for their
permission about posting their art on his site. I had a discussion
with the admin of that site (who was actually quite surprised by all
the ruckus he'd stirred up), and worked out a deal with him
pertaining to my artwork. Like this Yahoo group, I will also use
both that site, and the fchan site, to post new pictures and/or
older ones. And, chances are, I will also use fchan to post a
shitload of Des's never-before-seen parody stuff.
See? Maintaining a civil attitude with the webmasters of those
sites has resulted in a situation which will be beneficial to all
parties involved. They get the artwork, and I maintain control of
what gets posted. I've learned that artists who scream and foam at
the mouth when this sort of stuff happens usually end up digging
themselves deeper into the problem.
Again, many thanks to all the folks who notified me of these
situations! Now, let's see if we can get this to all work together,
hmm? (With luck, I'll post of Des's new stuff this weekend. If I
can get ahold of her before she leaves home, that is. Otherwise,
I'll have her send me some stuff.)
Hopefully, the admin of the "Amadeus" site will have his galleries
open soon. I'd like to post some material there within the next
week.
--JMH, who still insists that a lack of emotion CAN be a good thing,
especially in situations like this! ;P
