In the case of hyena – the female has an extended clitoris that forms a tube that is called a pseudo (false) penis. Also the female hyena has a VERY large amount of testosterone in their bodies, in fact they have more testosterone in their bodies than most male hyenas.
But this is for the four-legged variety of hyena, so I suspect that Jim/Des uses a bit of artistic licence in the hyena chick Kenya….
