This is true; in addition you risk 'double bastardisation'
in regard to the original artist interpretted what they saw
and you are interpretting their result. Though for initial
structuring, as I previously mentioned, using someone
else's simplified drawing is a good way to get your basic
structures correct then go from there. Once you start to
understand what you are looking at, you can create your own
structures by looking at the subject.

Erm, function has diddly to do with 'artisitic sense',
since any artistic application generally lacks application
other than aesthetic appeal. Otherwise it is called a
technical drawing. :-)

Any form of technical reference will be a good source to
determine component interaction, structure, etc.

I don't know about freak. The nature of freak suggests it
'just happened'; I'm quite deliberately warped in my
outlooks. :-P Though most people and creatures don't
generally appreciate being 'inspected' (dogs hate it when
you inspect their feet!), even if it is a good way to
learn.

All help appreciated. :-)

I wouldn't say instantaneous, though imminent may be true.
Since the MLG have stuck their snouts in, maybe THEY can
post reference pictures for us - of themselves! That'll
give you squeakers something to do to keep you quiet. :-)

Scrapper, Black Dragon, don't ask me about my day; let's
just summate it is very busy... :-( (typing one handed
while eating - in between phone calls).
