Y'never know. Might be the power supply, or the network card. Or maybe
one of the replacable chips shorted, rather than something soldered
onto the motherboard. In any case, I'd suggest having the shop copy
your files to a fresh hard drive *before* that computer gets powered
on again, so you don't lose anything. My sister's computer gained a
tendency to overheat, which caused its motherboard to warp during
operation, and it ended up scrambling a good portion of her hard
drive's contents.
