I have read that a few of the artists like using porn mags
for ideas and reference - Terrie Smith I believe is one
(though I am sure there are dozens of others). But once
you've been drawing for a while, have your structures and
physiology down-pat, then it is only a matter of shaking
that twisted, black object Jim calls a mind to come up with
a new, warped idea. It is amazing where inspiration can
find you - hence one of the reasons Des likes doing parody
art - her angle of mind warp is well attuned to corrupting
such things.
Tokes gives the tip that soft-porn is best for drawing
reference, as the models are usually wearing little enough
to make drawing easy (as you can see all required
outlines), yet not suffiicienly naked that you can't drag
your references around with you without being accused of
being a dirty old fur. There poses are also generally a
bit exaggerated, that tends to look better when drawing
cartoon style (or generally) and is not so extreme as to be
only good for sexual style poses.

If water sports are your thing, sure! *shrugs* I've a huge
box of mags that I inherited, but generally don't find much
inspiration there. The situation (who you are with and the
emotions associated) genearlly does far more for me and the
poses are not even that useful in regard to being able to
make a girl look attractive. Just some contorted stance to
allow the camera to view her 'naughty bits'. *shakes head*
But what ever does it for you.

You mean actually assembled in a presentable and coherent
quantity and uploaded for public viewing? Good question -
can't answer this one. :-P

I'm pleased that you're feeling better - if only my daily
issues were as light. I'm not sure what you're off to do,
but you will wash your paws before you get back, won't you?
:-P

that's my warped outlook on the world!"
