I was officially told a few weeks ago that as of the 28th
of July, I won't have a job. 8 years of service, but there
are currently no permanent jobs for someone with my
skillset in the company (unless I want to move 600 miles
interstate - away from my house, friends, etc). So after
then, communication may go quite from my end (since I
currenly only have email and internet at work). :-( I
will, of course, get on line when I can and will reply to
anyone who writes me. I will respond - you'll just need
patience!
Needless to explain, I am absolutely thrilled to be without
an income. I do get a payout, but that has limits.
Continuing full-time employment would be preferred - I feel
quietly optimistic something is bound to come my way soon.
I'm not trying to attract sympathy; this does have a group
relevance, so much as letting people know what is going on
and that new membership and message approval could be a
little slow since I will not be around to help out. If you
know somone who is applying for group membership or your
post does not appear in the group, please be patient. I'll
get online and check in when I can as well as Jim doing his
best. Behave and play nicely else there'll be fire when I
get back!!! Don't think I won't be reading all the posts!
Hopefully someone will realise my worth and offer me a
position (with an internet connection!) in the near future.
