Can be helpful for aiding spotting issues in one's own work
too.

Good observation - I didn't notice that! It is a feature
of cartooning that you can exaggerate any feature that you
like (or dislike as required) - hence girls have longer
legs, bigger busts and narrower waists than reality. Let's
face it, if a human girl existed with the proportions we
like to admire in many of these pics, she'd be a total
freak!

You can see more of the 'Des' style drawing in these pics -
can understand how people used to believe Des and Jim were
the same person and it was Jim drawing under and alias.
Since that was the era when Jim was teaching Des to draw,
you can subsequently understand the similarities.
