Very true. Blank 800 MB CDs cost what, two pennies each nowadays.
You just need to get rid of that laziness factor and make those backups. Something I had to
gradulaly
get rid of.
It also helps to know where the nonreplaceable data is, and back that part up. That way you don't
waste a lot of time backing up stuff that you can easily reinstall.
However, some shareware programs use XP-style licensing, meaning you only get a few times to
install the software before you have to buy a new license. Make sure you have the contacts for
these
companies backed up separately, so you can call them in case anything happens. They may extend
the install count one more, if the license hasn't expired (for subscription licenses such as
Winguides'
Tweak Manager)
