  Hey man! Of course I remember who you are! That woman sitting
beside me (who some folks have mistaken for Des!) was my mom, not my
wife or sister. I'm not married, and only have one brother. But
some folks get a little shocked when they found out my mom attended
cons with me years ago (hey, she was the only one I could trust to
keep things moving smoothly, and Des has no plans to attend any furry
cons).
  Heading out to CA is very expensive for me, and there are several
things I need to take care of before that can become an option
again. I haven't given up on the West Coast; I just haven't got the
means or time to make it out there!
