Nothing. Hence why I personally think it's a horrible idea.
But i'm just the salesperson. It's up to the artist to protect their works or not.

What would keep someone from purchasing a print and then sending it to all their friends that want one or posting it on the internet?

Out of curiosity, I wanted to know how much each of you would pay for a
digital copy of a print? I ask because I live with an artist who may
want to sell their works. But they want to sell it in a wierd method.
Digital copies you can keep and make backups of.
Piracy isn't an issue for them, but I imagine it would become a flaming
problem. Still.
What would you pay for a digital copy? 25 cents? A dollar?
