Excellent rendering and tones on these pics Jim.
DarkOwl made an intersting observation; the characters'
bodies appear a little short. This isn't actually a
problem when you consider the associated details (okay,
yes, we think about these things _way_ to much). Since all
the characters are fairly short, their bodies are
correspondingly smaller. The illusion that 'makes them
look wrong' is that DarkOwl and I are fairly tall, hence
our perspective when looking at others is usually looking
slightly downward. The perspective in the picture is
putting the viewer's eye line about similar height to the
girls' shoulders - feels a bit high for the viewer to be
sitting, but too low for those of us of taller stature.
BUT it does give them a stronger presence; the natural
'respect for things bigger than you'. Hence they look more
'dangerous' as they are more imposing drawn at this angle.
I like the little details such as the veins in Treska's
forearms; just adds a heap of realism. Des does look very
fine in this pic; though I've said for ages Treska rates
well - from the posts on the group, it would seem many
agree! :-)
Borys, great to hear you're still out there - maybe
'killing yourself' may be an option compared to what this
trio could do to you; though it may be _such_ a
pleasureable pain finding out! :-P
Great work, as always Jim - I'm sure many on the group are
hoping you'll feel inclined to draw Onika taking on Thor.
