I'm sorry, but I respectfully disagree. Given the nature of misbehavior* that has
consistently happened to me in its use nearly a half decade ago (yikes!), I
would actually avoid it, in favor of Filezilla, or if one is using Firefox,
simply adding in the FireFTP extension.
(* It never behaved on chmod for me - nothing would stick. Went to using the
shell, and all was well.)

Well, there's Seamonkey (The 'Mozilla Application Suite', or just 'Mozilla' to
the rest of the world), Camino, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Omniweb...
Is iCab still around?
But yes, there're plenty of options that I'm aware of, and I don't even own an
Apple. :)
