Apparently, because my answering machine malfunctions when the DSL
filter is plugged in, they were never able to leave me a message (but
they did not try to contact any family members, whom they have on
their list). The surgery has been rescheduled for April 11, pending
the results of my bloodwork.
I had critical levels of potassium, as well as several other "higher
than normal" readings, which caused the docs to cancel the surgery.
However, it's not known whether this is actually a problem I have, or
if it's due to technician error. Another tech stated that several
things could've occurred, which would cause the aforementioned
readings to be so high. Many of the things she listed were things the
previous tech had done. So hopefully, the whole thing will be due to
human error and not any actual problems.
In any case, I'll hopefully be getting my surgery in about two
weeks. The post-op recovery time is 6-8 weeks, but I hope to be back
in shape in 4-6 weeks (I have the benefit of a brutally efficient
immune system).
So...I guess now I can catch up with some e-mails, and post some smu-
-er--art...
