Just as an example, take a look at most of the furry art these days,
and take a count of how many chars have either: multicoloured hair,
anime-style bangs (there's more than one hairstyle in this world,
y'know!), oversized extremeties (or small, thin bodies, with large
heads, hands, feet, whatever), some kind of weapon that ties into a
trading card game, RPG, or anime show, and the complete inability to
draw realistic expressions/proportions.
Now, like I said, I ain't ragging on anyone, I'm just saying there
needs to be some fuckin' variety! While I can't disclose where I work
or what I do in real life, I can definitely say that no one at my
place of employment does anime, and if they did, they'd probably be
fired on the spot. It's like it's a fad, and not really considered
"art" (and I'm talking about the vanilla shit ya see on the chanboards
these days).
Then again, I could just be a cranky old bitch.
