And some of the ladies in a not so manly, purely platonic sort of way. ;)

    Hey all-
Okay, it looks like maybe I finally got through Des's thick
skull. I advised her that her chosen course of action would be the
cause of a shitload of problems, including harrassment. Also, if
she revealed her real name and info, then all the old artwork she
did will suddenly be linked to her. Not a good idea!
It was also the perfect opportunity to explain to her, based upon
her behavior, why there will never be a female president. But she
can still kick my ass, so I reckon it was a good idea I kept my trap
    shut. ;)
She mentioned something about "getting back at those fuckers", and
I believe it may entail the creation of some harsh artwork. Knowing
her, she's probably going to make them feel as insignificant as they
truly are, and I'd be lying if I said I can't wait to see what she
    has planned.
As usual, I'll keep you all posted!
I have no intention of leaving the genre; all their accusations
did was make me annoyed. I'm usually very civil with folks,
believing you can catch more bees with honey than with vinegar, but
I do feel that from now on, I will treat those individuals exactly
as they have treated me. And should these brutal criticisms result
in some anonymous loser either leaving the fandom or ending his
existence, well, that's one down, and a whole lot more to go...

    --JMH, now with more cheese!
It really must be asked each time this sort of thing happens if it's really worth the effort, but sometimes, you just can't back down.

I think you handled it rather well from what I saw on luls and I'm glad that you and Des are sticking with us. Even if you become disenchanted with the fandom itself, you've still got fans, both within it and without, who love you both (in a manly, purely platonic way).
