Son, I've got a connection to the man like most probably don't here, and the need to troll isn't one of them. I speak what I think straight up, whether it's favorable or not. And I'm one to stick up for a friend when people are being jerks. I'm not going to start a long out argument here, but it was an observation that was pretty obvious and probably needed to be said, since I'm not the most PC person in the world, I just came out and pointed out the obvious. I don't like seeing friends putting their all into works of art and sharing them for no real benefit other than to be pleasant and have them get disrespected or trashed for doing it (which is becoming the most backwards aspect of the furry fandom lately, dissing on artists even when they try to be nice).
I dig and respect that he and Des post their stuff and usually don't mind it being reposted, but whoever is doing the reposting, if you seeing the guy getting disrespected for no real good reason, the least you can do is try to stick up for him or say, hey I posted it, lay off. That's all I'm saying.
If you like an artists work, let them know and support them, and it's not always about finanical support, a kind word will often go a long way. And don't give me the " well if the artist stops doing furry art, there will be another one to take their place". Wrong. Jim and Des's styles are very unique to their own, and we've seen people attempt to copy them, with failing results. I know Jim works hard on his work, especially even more so now considering the health issues and you never know how much more you guys are going to get, so act like you at least appreciate the effort while he's doing it, because you never know what the future holds.
So before you call someone a troll, know the connection the person has to the artist in question first.
Peace
Shawntae Howard
