If you’re going to feed one animal, you should feed all animals.
Squirrels only reciprocate what’s been done to them anyway.
If you’re nice, patient, and gentle with the squirrel, it will eat out of
your hand, and eat next to you as you eat too.
It’s all about how you want to view it.

I remember reading a book titled "Outwitting Squirrels" about how to
keep them out of bird feeders. It is actually possible, but it
requires specially-designed birdfeeders which have to be installed
just right.
