Since YouTube doesn't require a membership to view things, and its
page structure is not known for being full of crap, I don't see what
there is to distrust.
I am wary of PayPal because of its history of grabbing money; I am
wary of eBay (which now owns PayPal) because of its history of privacy
violations; I don't use Facebook because I'm not a teacher or student
anywhere, nor interested in its social networking model; I don't even
look at Myspace because it's so well known for being stuffed full of
useless eye-burning crap.
I resisted getting a Yahoo! account for years because I already had an
email address, and I really don't need Yet Another Account to track
logins for, but the mailing lists I wanted to join were all hosted
there. I have nothing against Yahoo! however; it just has limited
utility for me, rather like YouTube.
