Thanks for the warning on the whole intestine thing... I'd totally panic if that happened and I had no knowledge of it.

while you may need to help them with it (KNOWING THIS FROM FIRST HAND
EXPERIENCE)..... But in my opinion if you are wanting to get one for a
pet I would talk to someone that has experience raising them and
several of the clubs and organizations online before you get in over
your head on the matter....
