My own experience with ferrets comes with handling them in Petland
stores. If I reach into their enclosures they sniff my hand and grab
onto it, and crawl up my arm. One time one of them even jumped into my
shirt collar and scrambled around inside my shirt, and I was able to
get it out by untucking my shirt tail and reaching behind my back and
grabbing it out. Fortunately, I had a jacket on as well, and neither
of us got hurt, and nobody else seemed to notice because I was afraid
of being accused of trying to steal it.

Long Tom.
