He's still doing it as far as I know, and two other strips. He's cut back on pushing too much of his religious and political views in the strips though, thankfully. The Never Right Democract always being shot down by the correct-thinking Republicans got very aggravating fairly quickly, when you're wanting to just enjoy a story. He had some good points, like the absurd behavior towards Christmas displays, but presented them too heavy-handedly for many to respect his viewpoint.

I’m fairly sure they mean the guy that did Nip and Tuck.

If you're thinking of the artist of Shayla, I'm pretty sure that's not who they were talking about. Mainly because there was nothing like conservative Christian anything in his comic.

no this guy actualy came to hate his work because it became a job to

to keep going and kept pushing him on when he would be done. He may
have kept it running a lot longer if it wasn't for that his fans kept
trying to push him onto a deadline. He actualy said that he didn't
know how the other artists could keep up with the demands of
    everyone...

you don't want to mention the name lest they feel unfairly
    represented, which is fine.
