 Biologically yes, mentally NO. Calling a human an animal is like
 calling a computer a calculator. And there is a difference between
 being sentient and sapient. Sentient means capable of complex
 feelings, like the great apes. Sapient means capable of complex
 thoughts. Humans are not only sentient, but are also the only
 organisms on Earth that are sapient too.
