In all technicality, "recreational sex" is often detrimental to the prime
directive of "make more".
Sex takes energy. Doing it for no reason too much can weaken you.
However at the same time, "Sex feels good" is a method of enhancing
reproduction. And thus it often leads to recreational sex. Perhaps it's a
matter of looking at what species still survives with recreational sex on
the platter.
However I think we should just focus on "recreational sex" and have more of it.
