I know about the radiology term since I'm in an electronic institute right now and the last class I had before the one I am in now is Biomedical. So near the end of the class we got to visit one of the local hospitals and our guide showed us one of the machines they had there was a PET/CAT machine.
When that was show there was a bit of joking around saying "Oh, how nice! The hospital has a pet cat here."

Another exotic cat story I have. By profession I am a test technician
at an X-ray machine factory, and as such I get to go to the RSNA
convention in Chicago every December. Two years ago they had a display
talking of unusual PETs (PET is a type of radiological system), and had
a table with a live Geoffrey (sp?) cat on the table. It was a little
thing, probably a kitten, with a metal collar and chain, and even let
people handle and pet it. Unfortunately it wasn't around the next
year. :(
Long Tom.
