If you do end up getting the surgery remember to rest a few weeks so the cut they made in surgery has time to start sealing. Don't need you to go somewhere and pull your stitches, now do we?

Well, given the state of my health right now, I'd say chances are
slim for any future conventions after MFM 2007. My kidney function
is at 39% now, which means I've got less than one kidney working.
The percentage will continue to drop until I reach 20%, at which time
I will have to go on dialysis or await a match for pancreas/kidney
transplant. So chances are, by this time next year, I won't be doing
as well, and events such as conventions (or even just traveling) will
no longer be an option (I'm also on a very strict diet as a result of
my current predicament. Dining out in restaurants is not
recommended, due to high levels of sodium and potassium in the foods).
After the surgery? Yeah, I could probably hit a couple
conventions. But I don't know how long it will be until I get said
surgery...
