My, my, my. All you youngsters out there. (hehhehheh)
Like many of you, I didn't know i was a fur when I first started enjoying anthropomorphic
characters. When I was a rugrat of about 6 years old I was given a huge (8"x11" closed x 100
pages or so) book about a bunch of semi-morphic characters through many little adventures.
My favorite character in that book was Reddy the Fox. This was way back in 1960. For years
after that I tended to enjoy books and comics with anthropomorphic characters; not so much
the Disney-type silly characters as Marvel's Man-Wolf in Spiderman.
Through the years I watched for stories that featured furs, finding that sometimes the major
comics would attempt one (I remember DC trying one about 15 years ago where they were all
genetic constructs) but the indies like Dark Horse tended to carry them more frequently.
Finally I discovered Albedo and I was too-solidly hooked. I managed to pick up the series
with #3 and collected it until it died.
Well, I could go on and on, but now nearly every fur has at least heard of Rhiann the Sauk.
No, I can't draw worth a damn, but I can write, if I only put myself to it. Just as Blackdragon
seems to be too busy to write as much as he'd like, I seem too busy too... though in my case
it's because I don't expect to ever be able to sell my writing, so why should I try?
