All joking aside, there are only a few of them left. However, the BBC
recently got the exclusive rights to use the image of the blue police box
for Doctor Who merchandising purposes, on the grounds that the image of the
police boxes are FAR more commonly associated with the show than they are
with the police. (Also, the police never bothered to trademark the image.)
