Apologies. I would, of course, cut off all unnecessary text out of my mails as it used to come up with > before each line... thus allowing me to select which parts of the text I want to keep and which to get rid of. Nowadays, they have this awful blue line running down the left side of the previous text. This won't allow you to select parts to keep, but you have to either use it all or delete it all. I find that when replying to a mail, you need at least the previous text (the one you're replying to), otherwise no-one knows what you're talking about.

This is why I always post my replies at the top of the page
