Thanks for the heads-up, man. I checked out the site quickly (did
anyone else besides me notice the inconsistencies between this kid's
art ability from one picture to the next? I'm willing to bet he does
a bit more copying than he'll ever let on).

Neither Des nor I can claim copyright infringement, since neither
of us own the characters in those pieces. I left a message on Des's
answering machine about it; I'll have to wait to see how she wants to
handle this. Since the "artist" in question is a kid, she'll
probably go lightly. But it would be funny to see that fellow get
royally reamed. Ha ha!

As for how I'm doing? I've been very busy with doctors, lab work,
etcetera. I hope to be getting the confirmation letter in the mail
within the next week confirming my placement on the transplant list.
Aside from the eyes, pancreas and kidneys, the docs said I was
in "surprisingly good health". I guess most folks running on a
quarter of a kidney are falling apart or something...

Also been busy finishing up the cruiser, since it requires me to be
in relatively good health to be able to do that kind of work. I was
told it could take a year or so for me to get back up to speed after
the surgery, so I wanted to get the bike done while I was still able
to. Besides that, I'm going to will it to my brother in case the
operating table turns into a morgue slab. And it would suck for him
to inherit an unfinished ride (especially since he has no business
being around automotive tools or engines).

I've got a friggin' ton of e-mail to wade through, and a few
commissions to mail out this week, so I'll be online a few times over
the next 4-5 days. Thanks again for the alert, and I'll talk to you
all real soon!
