Oh, hey, don't worry about that. I actually have a deviant art account and I always encourage criticism. Can I send you a pic? Or would you rather look at my deviant art page?

It depends on who you are targetting, whether it will
'float their boat' - This group is for Skunkworks related
pictures and stories, though if you are drawing other
subjects there are other peer groups who can assist. Feel
free to write me off-group if you are serious about getting
opinions, but be warned I will be analytical and am not
here to pad egos!

It may not have been what they were looking for - there are
other 'zines around - try a fanzine for a starter; they may
be more accepting of 'new artists'.

If you have folios of completed work, or published (or
publishable) comics (electronic or print), then you have a
fair chance. Set up a web site is a good way to 'be out
there' - join groups who have similar interests and
possibly do a few fan-art pics to get awareness of your
work. You've got to get your work out where people who may
be interested can see it; that is, it pays to advertise
(without blatantly spamming people).

Civil and sensible questions are rarely a bother - no
stress here. :-)

Scrapper, Black Dragon, ask nicely, we may even say yes...
