"Jumping the shark."

You'll get no arguments here. I will admit that I'm rather simplistic
in my entertainment choices - I spend my entire work day solving
complex issues, and I really don't feel like having to stress my brain
to get entertained. This could explain why my favorite movie is
"Blues Brothers". :-)

(I do like good music.)

Pontification like Sim's is not unusual. For some reason, people take
one success as a springboard to a belief that they must know more than
everybody on all subjects. For years I worked for a famous chemist
who went from barely normal to totally insane. I'm almost postitive
he sees himself as a new messiah or something.

Ooops, I'm digressing. But hopefully you catch my drift.
