Human nature, or somesuch. There will always be those that (for some
reason) cling to an identity and make it the central focus of their
existence, which I find incomprehensible. (Not judging here, just
never been that passionate about anything other than my marriage...)

It's the same with anything. I've been a computer professional for 20
years, and I've certainly done well in my (unplanned) profession. But
I run into people that are so "into" computers, or gaming, or online
whatever that I cringe. As I've said, "Second life? I can't even
keep up with my first!"

$SPOUSE and I like animation, and anthro artwork, which is what
attracted us to the Skunkworks stuff in the first place - I happened
to stumble on the three "focus on" volumes from Genus, and we enjoyed
'em. Not only for the art, but some of the stories as well. (Base
humor is one of the footings of our relationship). The expression on
one of the girl's faces (Lori, perhaps?) with the whole "hose" bit was
priceless.

But beyond that, nada. Again, not judging - I just don't get it.
