Not so much as it is in the States. There's legally nothing wrong
with females going topless, for example, though most communities frown
upon it in the trio's world. It's no big deal at places like a beach,
or even in one's own yard (Onika, whose species generally does not
wear clothing, must often be reminded to dress to go outside since,
for her anyway, nudity is normal and not sexual in the least. Ditto
with Treska). So you can imagine the headaches Des would have to put
up with, since Onika and Treska now reside at her place. It's even
more horrific when Onika has a large group of her kind come over for a
visit. I would think it would be similar to herding cats.
Some ceremonial rites may necessitate specialized clothing, but for
the most part, the rules are fairly universal in the various countries
of the trio's world. The governments are certainly different than
here, and so are the freedoms enjoyed by the public. And wait until
you hear about the stance on crime...
