I don't think everyone would get along too peacefully, myself.
Just as with our species, there would probably be some anthros who
would have no problem with other lifeforms (the trio, for example,
would strike me as benign). But there are others whose predatory
natures would get the better of them at the first sign of foul play
(Crystal, for example, or even Dinah or Leila). Treska, of course,
wouldn't even hesitate, but then again, she's from another reality
that's had to deal with a species long descended from us.

I don't think there's be too much politics involved. Remember,
these anthro folks are basically evolved animals. Most animals
(aside from humans) don't bother with politics. ;P But anthros also
possess human or above-human intelligence (after all, folks on the
trio's world have had space travel for a LONG time now).
As for us, I think our governments would freak out and either try
to capture the anthro/alien species, or find a way to make the
meeting work out in a way which would benefit humanity. We are,
after all, a very greedy animal, you know.

But there are probably too many who would disagree with that. As
the saying goes, "A person is intelligent, but people are stupid".
Anytime you get a group assembled, you run the risk of mob
mentality. And unfortunately, that mentality is often from the least
intelligent citizens.
