I use real life studies. There's a nature center not too far from
where I live that has all kinds of critters in it, and many are useful
for figure studies. So when I go there, I just bring along a sketch
pad and make notes. The good thing about this practice is that it
traibs you to get the essential information down as quick as possible,
since, unlike a photo, a real-life animal won't necessarily stay still
for too long.

I'm also bringing in many of the style elements from my mainstream
artwork in an effort to increase the realism factor in the anthro
art. I guess drawing landscapes, portraits and crap like that does
have its benefits after all. ;P

As for commissions, just hang tight. I've still got a few to take
care of (and there are still a couple I need to ship out, since they
were put into safe storage when the first floor got flooded some time
ago. Damn rain!)
