I have to agree with you on what you have said, and you can forward this as well. I have been a furfan since I was 4 years old and watched episodes of 'Kimba the White Lion'. And, after being Honorably discharged from the Army, worked for the biggest producer of anthro and furry art and stories, and that would be the Walt Disney empire. I'm neither a homosexual, though I support their choice of lifestyle, nor am I a pedophile, the nothion of which revolts me.
I am an artist of sorts. I make blades and swords. The bearing that Des and James have had on this endeavor is that they do what they like, what they get enjoyment from, and that inspired me to do the same. I like their work and and often impresed by the detail, and as I am not as artistic as they are when it comes to drawing, I can take that same inspiration and apply it to what it is that I do.
And if you want names for any kind of petition, I'm yours. Anyone that does, will, or ever has enjoyed furry works has had to deal with misconceptions and derision (being a Pagan, I know of this as well) and is treated as something of a modern day leper, or pariah. I'm tired of it, as I am sure you are.

  Proudly furry,

You may have to work for it, however.

News Flash: Anti-Scan paper is easily defeated. I will not explain how
to do it, but I was wondering if it was as safe as everyone thought.
The answer is no, it's not that safe. The good news is you have to buy
the work first before you can set it up. If Jim or Des wants to know
more, please send me a message to that extent.

About Fandom: Ok, after spending an unhealthy amount of time reviewing
what's out there (MTV and the BBC special are the worst) the media
smelled an easy mark. What the fandom needs is Des. Des if you read
this, don't give up. Get vocal instead. What the fandom needs is a
single person that is willing to speak on behalf of the Furs. To do
that, we need a bunch of furs to back that single person. The issue of
fur-dom is that everyone thinks we are all gay, or pedophiles or other
negative images. A single person who is always willing to speak for us
would do much. Yes we are a large group with out any reference points
like the Trekkies or the Star Wars, but we can establish things that
we ARE and AREN'T. We just need a loud person to do it. Let people see
that it's not all about sex and that not every fur is a child hungry
predator or even that all of us are gay. We need someone to say things
like that fireman down the block, he's a fur. The middle school
teacher who works with mentally unstable kids? She's a Scaley. That is
what we need. (In case you are wondering, I'm a fur and I am a
Security Officer for some of the expensive areas in S. Florida.)

Furgonomics: I have read all these posts, and it's time to say enough.
To do this fast and correct, you'd need to first set the needed
parameters. An example is: How would a Shark~fur use a handgun? Well,
before we even attempt to answer that question, we should make sure
that there are even shark~furs in this world.
So to make furgonomics more helpful to Jim, I suggest we, the
community figure out what is available in his world. With that out of
the way, we can compartmentalize everything else and move on to the
next thing of animals VS humans. (Example: Perfume would have to be
different due to a majority of animals having better sense of smell.)
After that get logistical. Things like size variations and digit
counts. Here's some weak boil downs cause I have to run.
-Work, Home, School, Public
-Computers, TV's and Cell phones (Standard size for all, adaptions for
others: Example: A mouse using a computer would not need an adaption,
but a horse would. Either the keyboard would be bigger <waste of
resources> or more likely there would be a "mitt" that would fit over
the hand that has littler nubs at the tips to better hit the single keys)
-Etiquette, personal care, social influence

Ok, that's it from me for a bit.
I hope it helps.
