I already know how it can be defeated, but it still poses a thorn
in the side to folks who want to pirate the work. And hey, if it
bothers them, that's just fine with me! ;P

I think it's too late to talk Des into taking a stand at this
point, but I can certainly agree that the fandom has turned somehow
darker and less enjoyable over the years. There are still the
longtime fans who are always good to see and/or hear from, but a lot
of the new shit going on is just plain disturbing.

I don't think there's really a way to branch one chunk of the
fandom off from all the Section Eights out there. The best I can
figure is to keep doing stuff along the same lines as I've been doing
since 1995, and hopefully, attract the folks who are substantially
more sane. ;P Hey, guys, a little craziness is a good thing.

The nutcases would eventually wonder off is search of...whatever it
is they search for, while the more "normal" folks would likely stick
around.

There are, and they have hands like you or I. Except they have
four digits. And webbing. But otherwise...

I'm hoping to introduce folks to the "Skunkworks world" on a more
realistic level. After all, the comics are just joke stories. And
the folios? Well, those are just the results of the studio work.
Think of the folios as a photo story you might see in some girly
mag. It happened (there are pics to prove it), but it was staged.
That's kinda how the prints and folios are. The comics are funny
gags and such meant to make people laugh. Think of them like this:
Let's say you have a favorite comedian. You've seen all his shows
and specials and all that. But you only know the act, the image or
personality he puts forward. For the Skunkworks site, I want to take
the viewers behind the acts to show them the actual people in real-
life situations.

Their world is very different from ours, and that's one of the
things I want to illustrate with newer works. A lot of artists or
writers try to figure out how human situations or items would change
over to an anthro society, when they fail to realize there may simply
be no parallel at all.
