I use GIMP exclusively (under Ubuntu linux). If you need a thought on a few things, let me know - might be able to give a few tips to help what might be lacking for you.

Subject: [SkunkworksAMA] Valentine's Day Special
I've gone ahead and drawn an image that hightens the Valentine's Day
spirit. Before I continue, I want to note: THIS IS NOT FOR CERTAIN.
This photo is simply to promote Valentine's Day (no worries Onyx fans).
I know I may make enemies after this, lol.
Just want to point out, I was originally going to leave it as black
and white sketch, but I felt charitable, so I went ahead and colored it
in with GIMP. Although not the best job (since GIMP didn't get some
areas with getting the whole thing), it promotes the basic perspective.
